This is to be fixed in 8.0, which isn't due until summer. I've only
gotten one report of it previously, which is why I don't consider it
important enough to fix right away.

It's unlikely to be the same problem. I'm pretty certain it's due to
the twisted Athena SGI login process, which is unique in the universe.
