I'm a little confused why you report it as a bug in the man page. It
was a bug in the signal handling code for Solaris or POSIX or
something.  I fixed it in the sources a few months ago, so when 8.0
comes out for Solaris we should be golden. (This however _doesn't_
fix the bug, present on all platforms I think, of inetd dying when
you make the wrong kinds of changes in inetd.conf.)
