Date: Mon, 5 Feb 1996 14:33:13 -0500 (EST) From: Bill Cattey <wdc@MIT.EDU> To: bugs@MIT.EDU Correcting my telnet configuration, I followed the instructions in the man page "Inetd rereads its configuration file when it receives a hangup signal, SIGHUP." It killed inetd instead. I was confident that the /etc/athena/inetd was correctly documented, since this man page DOES talk about the athena acces-on and access-off programs. Furthermore, I discovered an interesting problem: When I mistakenly started /etc/athena/inetd as myself instead of root, it happily ran, it just couldn't do anything. I guess one is just supposed to be inafallible here... -wdc
