What were you trying to do?
Look for some syslogs that would have been sent to the central syslogger
What's wrong:
root logins log at 2 different levels, /bin/login logs at auth.notice and
xlogin logs at auth.crit. auth.notice is not logged to the central loggers,
and auth.crit is.
What should have happened:
/bin/login and xlogin should log root logins at the same level,
but even if they didn't both should be logged centrally.
