Hi Paul,

I am really sorry that you are having problems with Frame on the Sun and
wish that I had a good answer for you. Unfortunately, we have already
reported this to Frame Technologies and they will not be providing a
fix for this in Frame 4 under Solaris 2.3, the versions of the product and
operating system we are running.

Frame 5 and Solaris 2.4 are on the way, but probably won't be here soon
enough to help you. In the meantime, I have two suggestions which should
alleviate the problem for you.

First, you can add the X resource

	Maker.useDPS:	false

to your ~/.Xresources file. If you do this, eps files will appear as gray
boxes when you view them online, but will print correctly.

The second thing you can do is to create a file (say 'fixdps') and put
these lines in it:

#!/bin/csh -f

dpsexec -noexec << EOF
quit
EOF

If you run this script each time before you start Frame ("csh fixdps"),
it will initialize the DPS extension and prevent the crash.

I hope this helps,
