Ghostview printing problems

We have seen some strange operation of Ghostview printing on at least
two different platforms.
Yesterday, I printed out a document to the Thesis printer, (using the
print dialog) and got two copies.
Today, brick printed out a document on the SGI from GV (I was on an RS6K)
and recieved eight copies.
Finally, a user complained that GV spewed out 250 pages of garbage when
he printed; I was unable to trace the problem.
