   The -n flags makes it so everything is treated as unswitced..

Well, I was going to check the documentation again, but now I'm on an
RT, and -n isn't documented here.  I had the impression that -n
controlled the startup mode only, not the permanent state.  If I've
got that wrong, we can strike that bit from my bug report....
