I have been informed that this problem occured probably because the version
of quota and the machine's kernel version are different. If you noticed in
the console when you logged into that machine, the first line of the login
would say something to the effect of:
Athena Server ... Version 7.7I
This is an old version number. The machine should auto-update the next time
it is rebooted. Thank you for reporting this bug.
