Hello -
A short while ago, we had a user ask why he received the message
/bin/athena/get_message: command not found
when he logged in. After a bit of poking around, we found that the
workstation had 6.0C software, but was using the 6.0R srvd pack.
The auto-update mechanism leaves a "window" during which, if a user
activates a workstation, the new packs will be attached but the workstation
will still have the old software locally. This window is the interval
between the time the pack swap takes effect and the time the workstation
performs its next deactivation.
This window is short (2 minutes or less), but it's long enough to be
a problem.
Workaround (for now): have the user logout, wait for the workstation to
deactivate, then login again.
