As I was trying to deal with the power outage, I noticed that I could
NOT login as root, without the network; it hung... Root should have a
quick login (console login, not necessarily xlogin).
As a result, I had to be a little more forceful with the servers than I
would care to be (I could not perform a graceful shutdown of those on
the UPS's, before I was going to lose UPS power).
I fixed these dependencies a few releases ago. What new dependencies
crept in?
