System type, version: (RT/PC) Version 6.0C
System name: soup
What's wrong:
You won't believe this.. I don't know why this happened. I was
running discuss from soup (a 6.0R workstation running the latest vice
kernel with all of the nfs fixes in it), and my .meetings file was
truncated during a run of discuss (/mit/discuss/exl/discuss.rt). It
also happens that network or whatever is very busy right now; I took
multiple tries to attach watchmaker from priam as well as smsdev from
menelaus and soup:/site. I was remotely logged into soup at the time,
but this should make no difference. My .meetings file is fairly long.
I only run discuss from a 6.0R machine as I have about a 95 percent
loss rate when I don't. Good thing I keep frequent backups...
This happened at around 3:15 p.m. right before I sent this mail.
What should have happened:
.meetings should not have been truncated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
