Problem:
Tar does not tell you when it hits the end of a tape. If that was
not bad enough, when you are doing a tar cv and it hits the end of the tape,
it keeps on spitting out filenames that it SHOULD be writting to the tape.
So unless you are looking at the tape drive you would never know it failed.
What should have happened:
Tar should have given me a write error or something. This could be
real bad if tar never checks for write errors.
