What were you trying to do?
Start up Framemaker version 4.
What's wrong:
It took 10 minutes to start up.
More specifically, the initial window came up with a light blue
background, but with no button dividers, and no text. Just a light blue
background. It stayed this way for about 10 minutes.
Something timed out after that, and I got this error message in a dialog
box:
Cannot initialize API client ClickPrint.
Check for errors in fminit/usenglish/APIArea/apiclients,
verify that the client programs exist, and make sure
you have enough swap space to run the clients.
After this, I can use Framemaker just fine; the initial wait is the
problem.
There's no reason that I shouldn't have enough swap space, so I'm not
sure where the problem lies. I might be the only person having this
problem (nobody else I've asked has seen this), but it happens every
time that I try to start up Frame on the Sun (and only on the Sun).
What should have happened:
Frame should not take 10 minutes to start up.
