What were you trying to do?

[I am reporting this for another user]
Sending mail from a slow dialup machine, using comp, repl or forw at the
prompt.

What's wrong:

Due to the slowness and impatience, the user often hit a few 'returns'
after one of the above commands, probably thinking that it may bring up
to emacs editor faster. Unfortunately, mails written this way will not
be sent at all. I have done a send -verbose which confirms that the mail
did not even leave the workstation for a mail hub. There is no trace of
the mail in ~/Mail/draft or ~/Mail/#draft. So the mail just mysteriously
disappeared. Repeating the experiement without the impatient 'returns'
was all right. Check all of users configuration files and everything was
all right. Repeated the experiment with my own account and the problem
was reproduceable.

What should have happened:

The extra returns should not have an effect on whether mail is sent or
not. I think this problem ought to be fixed because I can see many other
users who depend only on dialups and are impatient to do the same thing.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

None.
