Do you have an entry in your ~/.mh_profile file that lists
editor: /usr/athena/bin/emacs
perhaps? This overrides the EDITOR environment variable, since EDITOR
is used for other things as well, but .mh_profile is mh-specific. You
should change this entry if it's not set like that.
