Hello Alejandro,
I'm sorry that you were affected by the recent license problems we've been
having with FrameMaker. While we continue to work on a permanent solution,
I can offer you an (albeit awkward) workaround.
If you try to start FrameMaker and get the error message
"No licenses installed"
cancel the dialog box to quit Frame, and type the following commands:
athena% su
Password: {enter root password here}
athena% ps -ef | grep rpcbind
dot 19582 19243 13 15:03:11 pts/3 0:00 grep rpcbind
root 12472 1 80 Sep 20 ? 0:02 /usr/sbin/rpcbind
athena% kill 12472
athena% /usr/sbin/rpcbind
athena% exit
If you are logged into a public Athena workstation, the root pasword is
'mrroot'. Please also note that the output from the ps command will be
slightly different for you and that the number which appears in the
second column of the output from ps is the number to pass to the kill
program, not simply '12472'.
You should then be able to start Frame normally.
I apologize for the inconvenience,
Dorothy Bowe
