Display type: PMAG-DV

What were you trying to do?
	Run the program tecplot.

What's wrong:
The colors are all screwed up. I get this message in the
window where I started the program:

Initializing....
WARNING: DEFAULT VISUAL WILL NOT ALLOW CHANGEABLE COLOR MAP

I can't figure out how or what changed this default. I have
not had this problem with tecplot before. (I do have a
picture file in the root window now by using xsetbg out of
the graphics library, but I see no dotfile being altered.)

What should have happened:
Before, tecplot comes up with nice colors, and you can
see the title options and so forth all at once. (Now
they only show up if the mouse is pointing at them.)
Also, the colors were generally blue and red (now they
are mostly white and some little green).

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
	The version is 6.0e.

Thanks,
Vernon Imrich
