Hi Debi,
About the two problems you encountered:
>sometimes it has found files supposedly containing a certain
>word, and the word is nowhere to be found.
This probably means the document was modified between the nightly
full-text indexing and the time you saw it. It actually did contain
that word at the time it was indexed.
>I find 82 documents containing the word "Appletalk", whereas I
>find NO documents containing the word "Remote". Yet the document
>"AppleTalk Remote Access -- A Powerful New Way to Connect" contains both
>these words, both in the title and in the document.
This is a known bug in the full-text indexing done on the TechInfo
server. It unpredictably finds some words and not others.
