The programs "xbmtopbm" and "pbmtogem" in /mit/graphics/decmipsbin kept
reporting the error: a read or write error occurred at some point. I
believe this error would be encountered running any of the xbmto... or p
pgmto... utilities. Through OLC,Mike Thomas and I verified that it was
not a problem with my quota or anything, and he also received this error
on a DEC. When I telnetted to the vax dialup, it worked fine, and Mike
said it worked on an RS6000.
