What were you trying to do?
Install 280 files at once:
/usr/athena/bin/install -c -m 644 *pk /mit/tex/lib/tex/fonts/pk
What's wrong:
On RS6000s and Suns, install dumps core saying
install: can't find Segmentation fault (core dumped)
[This is the first time I saw a program complain because it
couldn't find a segmentation fault. =) ]
On DECstations, it doesn't dump core, but says
install: can't find (null).
What should have happened:
I should have gone to bed long ago.
Install should have installed my files.
Please describe any software that doesn't break in the same fashion:
GNU install.
