  lpr2 should go away.  There's no reason to have it since:
  1)  "lpr -Pprinter2" works on all public printers.
  2)  lpr2 is a buggy script which never really worked right.
  3)  lpr2 is still confusing users who try to use it.
  4)  lpr2 is not being maintained.

Reason 1 is not strictly true; the print filter is broken in how it
works and fails (prints simplex) in a reasonable number of cases.  I'd
be happy to see it work; it's not now.

Reasons 2 through 4 are redundant.  A simple lpr2 could be made to
DTRT with a minimal amount of effort, if the consult locker folks were
willing.  I'll see what I could do.

As for the author being no more at MIT, it's true that he's no longer
student or staff, but he was logged in yesterday, and if someone would
notify him of bugs I'm sure he'd have it taken care of in some way or
other.
