Hi.
[I am sending this report to bugs@mit.edu since that is what is says
in the Help menu option...but please forward as appropriate]
I have encountered a problem with the MSWindows version of Techinfo.
I ftp'd the software from the alpha-beta directory of net-dist.mit.edu
(both manually and using the get-ti.bat file).
Things work fine at first. I can navigate through the menus,
UNTIL I get to a level that has "backwards P" type symbol in front
of it (not a >> symbol).
At that point I get two windows. First one says:
Asking server to send <name of menu item selected>.
Then an ERROR window:
Error running instance of write.
The error window has an OK button. When I press the OK button I get
an ASSERTION FAILED window that says:
Expression IsWindow(hWndViewEdit),File ti_load.c, Line 1082
Then..I get an ABNORMAL PROGRAM TERMINATION Window and the
program dies...
Is there something I have to initialize before using Techinfo?
Or is this just a bug (feature:) in the software?
Thanks,
Albert Castillo
