I ma not sure what platforms this effects since I have not tested on
everything, but it definitely applies to the vax (and I see no reason it
should not be all platoforms)
When a user attaches a a locker in the rel-eng cell (like beta-sys) they get
sub'd to:
'filsrv' 'rel-eng.athena.mit.edu' ''
'filsrv' 'rel-eng.athena.mit.edu:system' ''
'filsrv' 'rel-eng.athena.mit.edu:system.vax.srvd.76' ''
now for some reason, wehn I attach net-tools, I get
'filsrv' 'net.mit.edu:root.cell' ''
'filsrv' 'net.mit.edu:tools' ''
which is fine, so it is not the case that 'athena.mit.edu' is hard coded for everything
