Thank you for your bug report on FrameMaker. If I understand your
complaint correctly, there are two facets to it: first, that your
tickets expired without warning, and second that FrameMaker crashed and
took your work with it.
Addressing the problem of tickets expiring, if you run the Dash menubar,
you should get notification approximately 15 minutes before your tickets
expire. If you don't run Dash, you'll have to do something special to
get notification. The OLC consultants will be able to help you
configure your account to do this; if you're interested you can contact
them via the olc software, stopping by 11-115, or calling x3-4435.
As for the second and more serious problem of Frame crashing, it is an
unfortunate result of the interaction between Frame and the AFS file
system. We have reported the problem to the Frame Technology Corp and
are working on a guideline sheet for using Frame on Athena with
information on how to avoid problems such as these.
