Scott, I'd appreciate any comments you have on the techinfo/registration
service user interface questions that Hal raises.

Andy, HASS-D is being made available in with a tty interface, right?

Cec:

Please forward these to the appropriate people. (Also, is there some
better way for me to report bugs than to send them to you?)

(1) the registration service on jimi port 907 seems to no longer be
running. Has it moved?

(2) When I first used this service, I reported a bug in the curses
interface whereby unknown terminal types were being forwarded through
the system, and consequently handled wrong. This got fixed. But the
same bug (as far as I can tell) exists in the interface on
techinfo.mit.edu. I reported this a while ago, but the bug still
seems to be there. Besides that fact that it would be nice to get teh
bug fixed, does this imply that techinfo and the registration service
are somehow using different versions of the interface code?

----------
Question: Is there some mechanism that is making sure that Institute
services are being deployed in such a way that they will be network
accessible, rather than accessible only from Athena terminals? For
example, is the HASS-D registration service available from non-Athena
terminals?
