Hi Jon,
I'm going to assume that the problem you were having talking to
another site is there problem, however, I will address the question
you had about otalk to a DECstation.
Basically I have no trouble establishing a talk connection from
carbonara to alfredo. However, otalk to a DECstation fails with the
message you describe. I do not know why this is happening, but it is
not restricted to the dialups. Therefore, I"m forwarding your bug
report to the bugs mailing list.
bugs: carbonara and alfredo are both running 7.4, although I got the
same error trying to connect to a 7.6 DECStation.
