In reference to the first part of your bug report:
The Kerberos tickets are destroyed by the login program, without calling
"kdestroy". This is done as a security precaution. It is after the user's
shell has already been terminated. Since the tty is still held at that
point, it is possible to put in an additional write/printf statement, but
that is more of a suggestion than it is addressing a bug.
Running .logout in other circumstances may not always be appropriate.
I am cc'ing the developer for a second opinion.
