Please help a fairly ignorant Net-Citizen!
I would like to download some FAQ's and I logon with anonymous
FTP to pit-manager.mit.edu, then I cd \pub\usenet
then cd alt.bbs for example, and all the FAQ's have a .Z extension!
When I download one, it is useless, not ASCII format,,,
This must be a kind of compression, but I am running an IBM pc on the net
and I don't know what program to use... I've tried ZIP, and it doesn't
recognize the files...
