What were you trying to do?
I have an auto-incorporate script called mailchk which incorporates mail
if present (sending the result back through a zephyr, usually)...
it was working fine but just failed twice from this workstation...
Was the RSAIX version of inc just changed/updated?
What's wrong:
the first message incorporates and then the process freezes...
inc typed directly from the command prompt works fine, however.
(provided you kill off the stuck process)
(everything seems to work ok from e40-008-5 (VAX platform))
What should have happened:
until today, all mail incorporated and the list of incorporated mail was
zephyred back...
now, the process hung after incorporating one piece of mail, and, when
killed, sent only a blank zephyr (not even a list of the one piece
incorporated...)
That suggests to me that the inc command might be trying to write to
standard out without going through the specified pipe?
