System name: m4-035-5
Type and version:	POWER 7.4H
Display type: graygda

What were you trying to do?
I was trying to run a matlab M-file that uses a lot of RAM. I got many 'INIT: paging space low' warnings.

What's wrong:
Matlab disappeared. I was not able to recover the variables that were present in the memory at the time of the crash. The diary file was empty.

What should have happened:
Matlab should have remained open. It should have stopped execution of the M-file with an error message and given me control. I should then have been able to recover the variables that had been computed before the crash. The diary file should have been filled with pre-crash output.
