This has been implemented in CVS and will go out with the 2.1.11 beta.
If you want to test it grab the latest from CVS.
There's a variable called 'logfilter' which if set names a filter.
Any messages matching that filter are logged. It works independingly
of the other logging options, if you want to control all logging from
the filter, disable the logging and classlogging variables.
