Dropped zephyrs

I'm running the current owl beta (as of Tue Oct 21 19:27:18 EDT 2003)
(well, more precisely, as of today's update)
I'm getting periodically dropped outgoing zephyrs, no warning. This is
an ongoing conversation, neither person logging out, no lost subs. I
have all the outgoing messages, but the messages were neither received
nor logged on the other end. This happened several times, but not
together.
The person on the other end of the conversation was running owl as
well, not clear what version. (so it could be a problem on the other
end)
