This command displays a blank popup:
:pperl "hello\r\nworld\r\n";
siminarly this message looks like it has a blank body:
:aperl "hello\r\nworld\r\n";
I have checked this under multiple TERM settings so it seems like it's
not a TERM related issue
[The biggest problem with this is :pexec finger seems to include \r in
it's output on solaris]
