The ideal login time is, "The same or quicker than the standard
MWM based Athena test account."
If GNOME is a pig, that may be a show stopper.
Remember that there is work afoot to make Athena netscape
(which only takes 20 seconds to start) to live on the local disk
so that it will start up as quickly as people are used to on their PC's.
