Andrew and I have just added a new web page to the AUI project notebook:

I validated the effort levels of the various named people. Note that
aurora says she'll be doing a LOT of documentation work to revise the
screen shots et. al. in the Athena documentation.
I've discussed it with Greg Anderson, and he suggested we add a section
documenting additional costs. So I added a section that documents the
savings from having AUI.
So this is the plan we're going to hand to vkumar and say, "Here's what
we want to use to go to delivery."
Before we ask for formal go/no-go, Andrew and I need to come up with a
little more documentation that AUI will have benefits that exceed its
costs. We're focusing on usability improvements to make that case.
