I misunderstood when you were talking about this on Friday, and thought you were talking about scripts that began with "#!/usr/bin/env perl".
The library in question is truly ancient. Before we install the package for future releases (Precise is ok as it is) I'd like to make an effort to understand what is still using this (and other Perl 4 conventions).
