In draft 1 you said this makes it difficult to upgrade after the
date.  Is that right?  I don't see why, because I'd expect it to be
taking packages only from the new release; I guess there's
update-manager-core and friends, and I forget if those are always
installed.

In any case from this technical description the practical implication
that upgrading late is hard isn't obvious.  You might just say the
latter instead.
