This is not about me getting my way, it's about what will and will not  
screw over users and what will and will not make things difficult for  
support.  If the printers asking for A4 paper truly only happens for  
CUPS.MIT.EDU, and we fix that, then I don't really care what package  
this goes in (modulo the fact that it should go in the new - 
workstation if it's going in -cluster).

True.  It also doesn't prevent international students coming here with  
their laptops configured to print to A4.  But both of these happen  
infrequently, and I'd like to keep it that way.
