Some of them are: the auto-save stuff and one of the gnus settings.
They're harmless in any case, though.
There's also configuring rmail to find nmh (which comes through
debathena-clients); protecting tcsh users from themselves; fixing an
upstream bug by setting tex-dvi-print-command; and setting gnus to
talk to news.mit.edu.
Of these, the second and third aren't of much consequence in any case.
The first naturally belongs in -standard (even -clients). The last is
just like -zephyr-config, so again in -standard.

Really? I thought the recommendation these days was to do precisely
that on all machines, to mitigate the insecurity of DNS.
The package's other effect is to set the search path to mit.edu.
