Diane is leaving. How will we move on?
Miki is ready to lead the ABS work.
Her committments to Solaris 2.5.1, and Athena Kerberized NFS are ramping
down.
The next steps are:
Diane is going to finish up the improved TCL scripts to facilitate
testing.
Ted will cook up scripts to perform the tests listed in Miki's test
list.
There are some little bugs that Ted is finding, and Miki and Diane are
fixing.
Miki will complete implementation of Crippled Mode.
The review of Miki's ABS Reference manual should take place.
Need to know where Jeff stands. -- Miki and Ted will visit Jeff.
Who will be DBA for ABS? Miki. Maybe transition to using Database
Group for day-to-day operations. Definitely use DB group as a
resource here.
Need to supervise completion of Karlyne's Admin guide.
Goal: To have ABS out in the next two months or so.
Sooner if we have dedicated testing resources.
Q: The client part only runs on Solaris right nowl. Where next should
we port to? What timeframe? Ops has people with SGI's as their primary
machines, so SGI client will be convenient.
Q: What would be in verson 2 of ABS?
