A sample of the ascii extract of the essential abs data from
the abs db can be found in /mit/athena-backup/src/dbtools/scripts/*.log.
This represents the minimum information necessary to perform a restore
without Oracle being on-line. (It does not represent an ascii dump
of the entire db.) Please look at it and we can discuss any changes
at the abs meeting. (This would be what you will have to use during
crippled mode.)
The extract contains the following files:
valid_tapes.log - list of "valid" tapes known to the ABS.
volume_to_tape.log - list of volumes and what tapes they are contained
on.
extract.sql - script which extracts all of this from Oracle.
