1) The system must work in a crippled fashion
2) Down time before restoration of service *
3) The system must restore tapes that are 6 months old.
4) the system must restore both volumes and server partitions
5) The system shall require no more action than the current system
6) A complete backup cycle should cover all of the data
7) Is there a req for the backup cycle time

11) The system shall have the following documents: Programmer ref, Op guide
Admin guide, etc.

15) The system shall report its problems
16) The system shall report on a (weekly/daily) basis that things are happening
17) The system will reject incorrect tapes
18) The system shall have available the number of tape errors on a given tape
available
19) The system shall have an ascii interface
20) The system shall be able to backup every volume in all the cells we control
21) The system shall be able to describe the system

1) The system Shall allow for different tape types
2) The system shall allow for different file servers (NFS vs AFS)
