Tell me, Marc, what happens in three years when all the Scribe users
have graduated [:-)] and everyone's been brought up in LaTeX or EZ?

Wouldn't modular code be

to maintain?  It means, perhaps, providing an appropriately extensible
protocol; but I would like to (in a few years) be able to send multi-
media messages.

I find it useful to distinguish between "Zephyrgrams," "Windowgrams,"
and "Messages."  In my usage,
.ft begin
and please correct me if I'm wrong
.ft end
Zephyrgrams are transactions taking place through Zephyr; Windowgrams
are the things that pop up on my screen; and Messages are the information
transported by Zephyrgrams to appear in Windowgrams.

(And please forgive the Script commands --- I'm lapsing into archaic
dialects to make a point.  :-)
