Hi
I work for Bell Northern Research in Ottawa Ont Canada. I am
working on a project that requires good messaging services
between users and users/processes. I have seen Zephyr at work and liked
it a lot.
I think I have an idea of how it works, but I am concerned about
one particular configuration. Zephyr basically sends messages
from a user a one workstation to a process at another worktstion.
However, we use a lot of NCD xterminals here which obviously don't
run things that start from inetd. So the question is can zephyr handle
messages that are destined for users that are logged onto xterminals.
I also know that the DEC version of athena does not support xterminals
which of course hightens my concerns. I am hoping that someone there
can answer this for me.
