I recently downloaded MacZephyr from your anonymous FTP server
net-dist.mit.edu with the hopes of using it here at Carnegie Mellon
University. Obviously our zephyr and kerberos servers are not the same
ones that you use at MIT, so the program as shipped will not work here.
I attemped to configure MacZephyr for the ANDREW.CMU.EDU domain by
changing the appropriate resources to coincide with the name of our
domain, the names of our zephyr servers, and the names of our kerberos
servers. Things seem to work okay, except that I keep receiving and
"incorrect password" dialog box when my userID and password are
certainly correct. I'm not quite sure why this would happen if the
kerberos servers are accepting me as a valid user which they appear to
be doing (I pass that test--it's just the password that is the problem).
I would appreciate any help that you can give me. MacZephyr looks like
it has the potential of becoming a mainstay internet tool--and it may
allow me to stop wrestling with my X-server as much as I do. If this
will help, here are the names of our kerberos and zephyr servers:
