The problem with makeconfig sounds like you tried to run it as a script,
rather than as a makefile. Or perhaps make on your system does not act
like it does under BSD. If the latter is the case, you can probably work
around it by picking up GNU make from prep.ai.mit.edu.
Could you describe the problems with "make world" in more detail? "It did
not work" doesn't help anyone figure out what the problem is.
The version of sources available for ftp is quite old, but I don't know
when anyone's going to package up a new version. (And I'm no longer
working for MIT on Zephyr, so it won't be me.)
