Activities:
1. Status update
- Wade handed out a checklist of items for the prep and alpha stage,
also handed out calendar of activities. These documents are also on the
Web.
- Update on server status - waiting to hear back from Peter Kelley
- Update on contract
- Moving along, goal is to have signed Req. and P.O. cut by Friday 4/26.
- Meeting with John Howe (Scopus) on Monday 4/22, attending Connie,
Paul Heffernan, Barbara, Wade. Reviewed proposal of work, contract
language and timeline for starting.
Clarification on time/materials contract with a cap, quality
workmanship terms, risk (unforeseen clause that would affect
estimates), confidentiality clause.
Surprises: Consultant (only one - playing Business Analyst and
implementation role) will travel back and forth from Houston, TX.,
needs accommodations. MIT to check on accomondations.
Issues: Need Kathy/JDB to sign Req.
Action: Connie to fax John Howe contract language changes, check
on issue with Scopus non-solicitation clause. Barbara to initiate
Requisition. John Howe to Fax contract to Connie by end of day Wed.
Connie to alert purchasing on P.O. Connie to Fax P.O. to John
on Friday.
2. Timeline
- Consultant (Terry Arnett) to start April 29, 1996
- Issues: We need to be prepared to work on requirements and functional
specifications during the first week. Need heads up to all those
who will be involved in requirements, functional specs (screen design),
and quality assurance.
- Terry will be here for three weeks, then planned one week "catch up"
time, then he returns for four weeks (estimating a total of 33 days).
3. Actions
- Next meeting scheduled 10:00 April 30
Agenda:
1. Roles and Responsibilities discussion
2. Review and contribute to project planning, specifically the first
few weeks
- Review handouts on checklist/status items and send changes/additions
- Write down items from the checklist/status (or other items that may
not have been included) that you wish to work on or can recommend
others to work on.
- Think about your role and responsibilities on this project and
be prepared to discuss
4. Miscellaneous
Thanks for a good showing at the tooltime meeting. While Barbara may
wish to be away from MIT by now, I am glad she is around as her work
on the contract negotiations has been of great help.
