Done.
I am not sure I understand the word temporarily. To me, it means that I
will get a new logid number at some point. Kinda like a temporarily
license.
Also, what should the "reply" message say? If you reply with an existing
logid, then it seems we can skip the second line for replies.
Anyway, here is what it currently looks like:
Date: Fri, 14 Nov 1997 10:15:57 EST
To: wade@MIT.EDU
From: blue@MIT.EDU
Subject: blue has assigned you logid 100190
Reply-To: "blue 100190" <blue@MIT.EDU>
Welcome to the new automated email interface to our call tracking database.
Your email was temporarily assigned Log ID 100190 in our database.
1.) If this is a new case, please use the subject line above (which
contains your log number) in any subsequent email regarding this case,
so that we may track all related correspondence in one place.
2) If you were sending email regarding an existing case which already
HAS a Log ID in our database, we will consolidate your case under one
Log ID and send you an update at that time. In the meantime, please use
the subject line above for any further correspondence regarding
this case.
Sincerely,
The MIT Support Process
