Joan Beardsley, head of Scopus' Consulting Services, is flying into Boston
tomorrow and has asked to meet with us regarding our needs on Wednesday at
1pm. I am actually going to push for 1:15 to give myself time to get back
from a doctor's appointment. While I don't think the entire tooltime group
needs to be there, I do think we should have someone there representing olc
concerns, help desk concerns, and possibly any consulting work we may need
around the SQL*Net and SNS/Kerberos work if we have any sort of handle on
that at this point.
She has asked that we be able to give her an organizational overview, a
sense of how things are done today, the number of users serviced by our
help desk(s), and be prepared to discuss who will own the customization
project - us or them.
Please let me know if you can make this time. If not, try to come talk
with me at our normal meeting time tomorrow about customization issues that
you think need to be discussed with her.
