Hi Steve,

Here are some random things I came across while using the web interface:

- In the Web Interface yesterday, I could get to the main screen, but I
couldn't get any results returned from queries from "Staff: List Help Desk
Logs", even though I could get results if I did a find on a particular log
number or if I used any of the searches on the "Client" side of the screen.
(It looks like you are reimporting the logs right now, so I can't check
whether the problem is still happening today.)

- In the Web Interface, If we do not display all matching logs, can we have
a note at the top saying: "Found YY records. Showing first XX matching
entries" instead of just "Found YY records."?

- When sorting by log status, can you actually sort in descending order by
MIT_WEIGHT, i.e.

    MIT_COUNTER MIT_STATUS           MIT_STATUS_FLAG MIT_WEIGHT
    ----------- -------------------- --------------- ----------
             1 URGENT                             1          8
             2 NEW                                1          7
             3 UNSEEN                             1          6
             4 FROZEN                             1          3
             6 TAKEN                              1          4
             7 PENDING                            1          5
             8 CANCEL                             1          1
             9 CLOSED                             1          2

- Can we make the default sort order by (descending) log status weight and
then log number on the "Staff" side? We rarely need to sort by log number
only, although it's nice that we have the option.

- Can we use the usual "&nbsp;" if there is no "Phone2" like we are doing
with the other fields? Same with summary...

-Can we make put the log number at the top of the log screen as follows:
<TR><TD COLSPAN=6 VALIGN=TOP align=CENTER><H2>Log #82258</H2>
 instead of
<TR><TD COLSPAN=6 VALIGN=TOP align=CENTER><H2>Log Information</H2>

-Can we make the log no., first name, last name, and status bold and red?
</td><td valign=top bgcolor=#ffffff align=left><P><B><FONT
COLOR="#CC3333">82258</FONT></B>

</td><td valign=top bgcolor=#ffffff align=left><P><B><FONT
COLOR="#CC3333">Pending</FONT></B>

</td><td valign=top bgcolor=#ffffff colspan=2 align=left><P><FONT
COLOR="#CC3333"><B>Weiner</B></A>

</td><td valign=top bgcolor=#ffffff colspan=2 align=left><P><FONT
COLOR="#CC3333"><B>Don</B></FONT></A>

-Can we change "Notify customer via email" to "Send customer new entry via
email" or "Send customer new case history" depending what happens. Can we
make this checkbox only appear if we know the customer's email address?

-We have a script in the Helpline Log database which sends customers their
log information as showl below. Do you think we can do that for phase ">1"?

-There is an error on the log page with the next step "field" which can be
corrected as follows:

Change:
<p align=right>Next Step:
</td><td valign=top bgcolor=#ffffff align=left><P>

To:
<p align=right>Next Step:
</td><td valign=top bgcolor=#ffffff align=left colspan=5><P>

-In addition to searching on open on closed, can we have options for
Urgent, New, Unseen, Pending, Frozen, Taken (and a box for "Taker"?),
either in this version or the next?

-I wasn't seeing the log history yesterday for logs from the staff log screen,
but I could see it from the client log screen...not sure why.

-How does find on name work...only on last? If so, can we label it as such?

-I'm still not able to create users yet with my password.

SQL> create user gggg identified by gggg;

History:
========
10/22/97 @10:51:21 AM - debi - Mickey is getting an error that his serial
port may be busy or in use when he tries to use his modem. Suggested that
he try "zapping his PRAM" (by holding down the command-option-P-R keys
while rebooting), as this often fixes the problem. He will try this when
he gets home tonight. Please check in with him to make sure that solved
the problem.
